This short surreal film explores the relationship between love, commitment and the voyeuristic aspects of cinema. Influenced by early 20th-century art movies, 23 Rue D’Amour is a dark tale about a man who is summoned to a theatre. Here he witnesses a ritualistic play filled with the sacrifices of love, that crosses over from symbol to flesh with dramatic consequences.
