It’s been quite a while since our last blog post, but all at BlackMilk hasn’t been quiet!
Though we are still looking for sponsorship for our ‘Sunrise Hotel’ short film, we have been busying ourselves on a couple of projects that cost us next to nothing and might bring in some extra money to put towards Sunrise Hotel.
The first of these projects is adding extra value to our DVD. We have recently filmed interviews and have been planning a couple of little surprises as well… Please note that the DVD sales are open for pre-orders. Please visit our previous blog post HERE for more information.
We have also been asked to do a short movie for a film festival at the Athol Fugard Theatre in Cape Town. Over two weekends of filming, we created a little bit of surrealist magic… We will post more about this in the near future.
But let’s get back to business.
We have also just released a coffee range!
The idea for this came about while Ronnie was on holiday over December in the magical town of Hogsback. “I was taking a stroll through the misty dark forest one afternoon and all I wanted was a strong, dark cup of good coffee. I ended up at this little coffee shop and had a few cups, which immediately took away the cold chills! That is where the idea was born.” Ronnie remembers.
A few months later we were ready and after many a night taste testing various coffees imported from all over the world, we have finally decided on a blend that we feel we can be proud to put our name on. The official BlackMilk Coffee supplier has also just been voted one of South Africa’s top coffee importers and distributors, and we are very proud to be associated with them!
BlackMilk coffee is an exclusive pure classic Arabica blend that consists of the finest beans imported from south Central America. Our very own Thomas Dorman designed the packaging.
Along with the launch of the coffee, we produced both a teaser advert and a full advert starring Aidan Whytock and Samantha Tunnah.
